Evaluation
Our golf fitness program starts with a comprehensive
evaluation. This evaluation uses the same tests
used on PGA and LPGA players to look at a golfer’s
flexibility, rotational mobility, core stability,
strength, posture, spinal range of motion and other
physical characteristics that have been proven to
be critical to the golf swing.
Program
Development
Once the evaluation is completed our therapists use
this information along with your goals, medical history
and workout experience, to develop a customized program.
Exercise
Instruction
While the recommended frequency and duration of exercise
sessions will depend on findings from your evaluation,
a typical program will start with 1 to 2 exercise
sessions per week. The frequency of exercise sessions
will often gradually diminish, as the client becomes
more independent with their program. ProActiveSP.com,
Titleist Perfromance Institute,
and BodyLogic Sports Therapy
are leading the way in developing golf fitness programs
that takes advantage of the research done at over
the years.
Pain
Relief
One of our central philosophies debunks an idea
that many people still believe. Put simply, the
old “No Pain, No Gain” concept does
not work when you are injured! Our treatment programs
are designed to alleviate pain at the outset and
restore function by being gentle and non-aggravating
to your current condition.
Goal
Oriented
• Are you unable to exercise or play golf
because of pain?
• Do simple movements aggravate a nagging
injury?
Our
therapists are trained to identify your specific
needs and goals and will develop a program to get
you back to work… back to play… back
to living.
Integrated Care
Our therapists work with doctors, chiropractors,
massage therapists, exercise physiologists, personal
trainers and other professionals who are a part
of the continuing care of our patients. It is through
this type of integrated care that that our patients
can be assured of attaining the best possible results
of treatment.
Prevent
Injury:
Your physical therapy program will include personalized
exercises to help you avoid injuries and keep you
as active as you want to be.
